My new baby corn snake?

hey well i got my corn snake on sunday n i havent botherd it since then cause i was told that i should leave her to settle down for about a week well i was wondering should i first feed her then handle her the next day or i can just handle her n then feed her cause i have heard so much people saying that there snake hasnt ate because they were handled to soon or something like that im just afraid that she would stop eating n i dont want that to happen she hasnt really done nothing lately just hide in her hideout so what do u think im new to this, so thank u
