Don't wanna do engineering anymore..?

Actually after +2,i got through many entrance exams for colleges. Among them i got through one of the best universities in the country. Although i got the college,i wasn't able to get my branch.I was offered with chemical engineering course.I hated chemistry and decided not to do it but pressure from my family compelled me to take it. It's been 3 yrs now and I hav many backlog papers pending.Actually i don't feel like attending the cl so i get detained.I have been contemplating for so long now and don't know what to do.I can't afford to hurt my parents feelings.They hav hopes in me but i' not really an engineering student. I think i m in the wrong place doing the wrong thing. I m 21 and confused like hell.Sometimes i think i should leave this college and start working in a call centre. Atleast i'll earn something. And ya i'm very much interested in history.I read all kind of magazines and newspapers but don;t feel like studyn the syllabus of my course. Give me ur views......thanx
