Statues of Mary in the Catholic church question.?

If all of the religious statues disappreared from the face of the earth, I would still honor Mary and ask her to pray for me and guide me. It is like keeping a picture of a loved one that has ped on, you still smile at or mourn at the sight of the picture because you love that person but you keep it not because you believe that the photo is your loved one but it keeps the memory fresh in your mind. For Catholics, Mary is our Queen.
